Pilleve's mission is to prevent the costs of opioid abuse and addiction. Pilleve is an end to end preventive system that uses a smart pill bottle to accurately monitor a patients opioid intake. Patients dispense their opioid medication on a smartphone application that authenticates a patient using biometric scanners. Before dispensing their medication, patients are asked questions about their pain levels, mood, and side-effects to give providers a holistic view of their patient's health. The data is captured, assessed, and sent to providers in the form of a risk score if a patient is showing signs of aberrant behaviors such as increased dosages through their EHRs.
At the root of pilleve's innovation is the ability to screen for signs for opioid abuse and addiction remotely and relaying potentially life saving data to providers and patients seamlessly.
Pilleve was founded by two individuals who experienced the hardships of addiction, firsthand. Yossuf has been in recovery for years and at the core of his wellbeing was early intervention. Gautam was also afflicted by it through his family members. Together, they made it their mission to intervene in the lives of patients who may be at risk.
