Data mining, Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are some of the concepts used to develop the Slighter learning algorithm which is the core of the solution, featuring personalized reduction program with the relapse management module. Slighter caters to a smoker's unique lifestyle and goals, positively conditioning her to gradually reduce cigarette consumption and ultimately quit.
Based on accumulated user data, Slighter’s AI algorithm learns (records and analyzes) a smoker’s behavior and develops a tailored cessation program that gradually reduces the number of cigarettes per day. By successfully reducing daily intake of cigarettes, the user can reach an unprecedented level of confidence that would encourage her to make an extra effort and quit the smoking habit altogether with minimal withdrawal symptoms.
In order to prove effectiveness of its concept, Slighter designed and home-assembled 300 Beta-prototypes that were tested with real smokers. The results proved to be impressive: 40% cross board reduction over the 2 months period, accompanied by minimal withdrawal symptoms.
