• Awarded Space Coast EDC/NASA Tech Docking Grant in September 2017. Under this grant NASA scientists validated the Alertgy dielectric spectroscopy rules engine and technology.
• Came in 2nd place at Biotechnology Florida Bio-Pitch Contest in Saint Petersburg Florida October 2017, competing with over 100 Health Technology start-up companies in the southeast.
• Made second place at the AMIA National Conference Pitch-IT event in Washington DC during November 2017, and was awarded a $7,500 grant.
• Placed first at the MEDMO2017 Medical Wearable Device Pitch Contest sponsored by Price Waterhouse Cooper at their world headquarters on Madison Ave in New York City in December 2017, with $25,000 prize.
• Selected to participate and graduated in the first cohort of 10 companies chosen form hundreds of qualified applicants, to the Cleveland Clinic Plug and Play venture health technology accelerator program in February through June 2018. As part of this program Alertgy is setting up preclinical trials and pilot studies with the Cleveland Clinic and other Cleveland based Health Care Systems in 2018 and 2019.
• Placed first at the NOLA Health Innovators Diabetes Challenge Pitch Finale in New Orleans in March 2018, as a result Alertgy was awarded a grand prize of $36,000.00. In addition to the cash prize Alertgy is setting up pre-clinical trials and pilot studies with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tulane Health, Ochsner Health, and other organizations in New Orleans in 2018 and 2019.
• Negotiating with various strategic partners on licensing of its technology to generate early licensing and royalty revenues and accelerate the introduction of its technology and product to market.
• Selected and graduated the VentureScaleUp accelerator program in Orlando FL May-June 2018 and obtained coaching and support from seasoned mentors, investors and Rollins College professors.
• In April, accepted by ANASYS Startup Program to receive $420,000 of development software credit.
• In May 2018, selected by MathWorks Startup Program for $ 30,000 of development software and technical support.
• In June 2018, selected for Plug & Play Mobile Start-up Accelerator in Tokyo Japan
• June 2018, Alertgy completes its first clinical tests in house and demonstrates its gen1 CGM clinical product can meet FDA performance requirements.
• In June 2018, Dr. John Burd, founder of DEXCOM, takes part in Alertgy Clinical Study and invests in Alertgy as accepts a Board Seat in August 2018.
• In October Alertgy was recognized as a “Top 10 Diabetes Care Solution Providers for 2018” and was featured in the MedTech Outlook Magazine.
• In November Alertgy came in first place in The Technology Showcase Pitch Competition at the SEMI MEMS and Sensor Technology 2018 Executive Congress.
• In December Alertgy was recognized as one of “30 Fastest Growing Private Companies to Watch in 2018” and was featured in the Silicon Review Magazine.
